Vox Ararati

“Vox de monte, vox antiqua”
Behind the song

A sacred voice rises from the mountain beneath an electronic storm.

Vox Ararati approaches Ararat as a place where stone remembers. Latin invocation, ancestral names and the image of a mountain calling through silence turn geography into liturgy. The song is less narrative than ritual: a transmission from something older than the people receiving it.

Low Gregorian-style male choir and Armenian duduk establish the sacred, archaic layer, while progressive trance and rock place that voice inside a modern electrical field. The unlikely combination is the point. Ancient Echoes is strongest when the past does not merely survive the future, but sounds newly alive inside it.

Lyrics

Vox Ararati

Vox de monte, vox antiqua, per silentium nos vocat.
Sub caelo noctis, sub igne stellarum, terra vigilat, lapis recordatur.
Ventus portat nomina patrum, sanguis antiquus in nobis ardet.
Audi vocem. Audi montem. Pulsus terrae cor meum tangit.
Vox Ararati, per noctem clamat. Duduk plorat, caelum respondet.
Vox Ararati, in corde ardet. Pulsus aeternus ad lucem ascendit.
In valle obscura flamma non moritur. In cinere sacro memoria vivit.
Tempus fugit, mons autem manet. Generatio transit, cantus permanet.
Audi vocem. Audi montem. Pulsus terrae cor meum ducit.
Vox Ararati, per noctem clamat. Duduk plorat, caelum respondet.
Vox Ararati, in corde ardet. Pulsus aeternus ad lucem ascendit.
De profundis montis, de memoria mundi, venit spiritus, venit lumen.
Surge, anima. Surge, memoria. Surge, vox antiqua. Surge, Ararat.
Vox Ararati, per saecula clamat. Duduk plorat, caelum respondet.
Vox Ararati, in nobis ardet. Pulsus aeternus ad astra ascendit.
Vox Ararati! Vox immortalis! Per ignem et noctem, ad lucem, ad lucem!
Mons manet. Vox manet. Cor vigilat. Lux redit.
